What this is
Most able children study alone. Apex XY gives them a group of peers, strong teachers and three months of regular classes.
What is inside
⚡ Mathematics — a two-hour class every week, in groups by level: exactly hard enough to stay interesting.
🗣 English (from grade 9) — speaking, not translating. Native speakers lead the speaking club.
⭐ North Star — six Saturdays on what school never asks: who you are and what you want.
🏔 In person — three sessions at the hubs: maths battles, written and oral olympiads.
Where it leads
The students who work hardest go on to Apex XY Camp — a week of mathematics in Lviv and the Carpathians.
Who teaches
Taras Tymoshkevych — PhD in physics and mathematics, more than twenty years of coaching olympiad students, and a presidential award for preparing IMO winners.
Olena Bahchedjioglu — Academic Director, twice a prize-winner at the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad, author of a grade 8 olympiad maths textbook, PhD in statistics.
The two 2026 cohorts
240+ applications → 170+ sat the online olympiad → 150 to group interviews → 130 offered a place: 105 on the taught programme, and 25 on a pilot self-paced course.
The first cohort, spring 2026: 141 applications from twenty regions → 31 students, three quarters from outside Kyiv. 29 of 31 stayed to the end, 95% want to continue.
Who can apply
Students in grades 8–9 who have competed at a regional olympiad in mathematics or the natural sciences.
- 10–26 September application
- 27–29 September online olympiad
- 5–9 October group interviews
- 12–16 October results
You cannot revise for the olympiad — it is logic and combinatorics, not memorised material.
Scholarship: UAH 10,000 for selected students.
